The Fayette County Adult Learning Center provides a variety of programs for adults which will give them the opportunity to acquire and improve functional skills necessary to enhance the quality of their lives as family members, workers and citizens. These programs play an important role in fostering productive employment, effective citizenship, personal and family growth, self-esteem and dignity for adult learners.

American Job Center

Developing the workforce is exactly what the Fayette County Career Center is all about. The Career Center was designed to be a one stop comprehensive center that provides a variety of services and resource materials to offer free career counseling to local citizens. The center provides assessment of job skills & career development plans, matching skills with current job openings, resume writing and interviewing instruction, targeted workshops and occupational training programs, as well as access to the internet, telephones, fax machines – all the job hunting tools that you need when you need them.

The Career Center also helps local businesses by publicizing job openings and recruiting qualified personal, pre-screening applicants and managing on-site interviews, plus other services.

Southwest Tennessee Community College

To anticipate and respond to the educational needs of the growing population of Fayette County, Southwest’s Fayette Site, through its community partnerships, offers classes and student support services at two convenient locations: The Fayette County Career Center and Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School.

To expand the availability of classes, the Fayette Site has two distance learning laboratories that allow students in Fayette County to be linked to a classroom at one of Southwest’s main campuses. Southwest’s vision for Fayette County is to build a full-service, comprehensive center for higher education that will offer a broad range of courses and degree programs.
