Benefits of Membership
The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce believes a chamber membership is not something you do, but something you use to grow your business. With this in mind, we concentrates on offering a broad spectrum of benefits and services to our members that will help your business grow and thrive.
Credibility
Membership in the Fayette County Chamber makes a statement that you are committed to the future of Fayette County and the community. A study commissioned by American Chambers of Commerce Executives conducted by The Shapiro Group shows that if consumers are aware the business is a member of a Chamber, the small business enjoys a 57% increase in its local reputation and a 63% increase in the likelihood that consumers will patronize the business in the future.
Networking
Networking puts you in touch with potential new clients, customers or patients. Our membership, currently in excess of 250 businesses throughout the area, provides you and your business with several networking opportunities. Some of these events include:
Bi-Monthly Business Luncheon – Sponsorships for this event are available. Held on the first Wednesday of every other month, the Business Luncheon covers a wide array of business.
Focused Committees – Participation in Chamber committee activities and working with others on major projects and events offers you additional opportunities to meet business and professional people with similar interests.
Special Events – Special events bring members and the community together for both business and pleasure. Our events calendar is designed to provide your business maximum exposure in your support of our Chamber and community.
Chamber Annual Award Dinner – This evening is the announcement of the Fayette County Citizen of the Year and Small and Large Business of the Year.
Publicity & Exposure

Web Site Listings – 2011 provided our member businesses with over 90,000 views as a result of being listed in our web based membership directory. A great asset for any business.
Referrals – Chamber members receive referrals to the thousands of requests we receive for recommendations on goods and services .
Hot Deals/Job Listings – Member businesses are given one free listing at a time on our Hot Deals or Job Listings. Advertise a different special each week or run one special for several weeks. Additional listings available for a fee.
Hot Deals Newsletter Link – For a monthly fee your Hot Deal can be linked to our weekly email newsletter sent to over 350 recipients. History has shown a dramatic increase in Hot Deal views resulting in more visibility for your business.
Free Business listing in Fayette Co. Magazine – This bi-annual publication represents Fayette County and is distributed throughout the region. As a member business, you receive a free listing in our membership directory section as well as additional paid advertising opportunities.
Ribbon Cuttings – Let us announce your business’ grand opening, remodel, relocation, or other significant business milestone with a Ribbon Cutting.
Promotional Literature Distribution – Display your business brochures or cards in the Chamber office and we’ll include them in relocation packets & for visitors to pick up.
Website & Newsletter Advertising – The Chamber offers affordable advertising on our website and in our weekly newsletter. Website advertising offers 24/7 direct referral to your business from a website that receives over 9000 unique hits per month. Newsletter advertising delivers your ad directly to over 350 recipients a week, a great way to reach new clients.
Sponsorship Opportunities – Sponsorship provides an outstanding way to promote your business to fellow members and the community at-large, and at the same time display your support of the Chamber and the community. Various opportunities occur throughout the year.
Advertise – Chamber membership offers traditional as well as non-traditional ways to advertise your business.
Certificate of Origin – We provide this service at no charge to member business or industry.
Legislative Updates – As a business owner, you should be aware of legislation that will directly affect your business. We strive to keep you informed through our Business Issues page, providing you with current information on critical bills. While the Fayette County Chamber does not actively lobby, we are Pro-Business and want to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision before you contact your representatives.
